Ladies and gentlemen, introducing one of the stars of the classic Italian breakfast: it’s caffellatte, the perfect accompaniment for biscuits, croissants, cakes, Melba toast or, maybe a slice of homemade cake. Nutritious milk proteins and the energy of coffee: the ideal combination for ensuring you always get up on the right side of the bed and start every day with a smile.
Making this drink is pretty easy. But if you want to get your technique down to a fine art, learn these 3 special secrets for a perfect caffellatte. Then get ready to savour a delicious version of this great Italian classic.

Cappuccino cups
At the bar you might have seen it served in tall glass cups (those usually used for latte macchiato), but for us, caffellatte should be enjoyed in a glass cappuccino cup or a classic giant ceramic cup.
The quantities of the two ingredients are, in fact, the same as those present in a cappuccino: 1 part espresso coffee and 3 parts fresh whole milk, which means that large cappuccino cups also make the ideal serving solution for caffellatte.

Coffee with a strong taste profile
Our second tip is the key to a perfect caffellatte. To ensure perfect harmony with the mellowness of the milk, it’s better to use a blend with a strong taste profile, containing Coffea Robusta to give the coffee a full body and a bold personality.
We therefore recommend that you make the espresso for your caffellatte using the Intense compatible capsules, the ground Classic blend for the moka pot or compostable pods. You’ll agree with us: the right coffee makes a world of difference.

No froth
Real caffellatte has no froth and the milk is not whisked: this is the key difference that distinguishes it from a cappuccino, which instead has a creamy froth.
Now you can finally enjoy a perfect caffellatte. But in the morning, if you need a particular burst of energy to get you through the day, you might also want to learn how to make an uber healthy ginseng coffee: no rubbish, just natural, healthy ingredients to give you a real energy boost.
