Ingredients for one cappuccino
- 150 ml semi-skimmed or whole milk.
- 25 ml hot water.
- Half a teaspoon of powdered matcha (about 2 gr).
- Sugar as required.
Preparation
- Heat the water, and use it to dissolve the powdered matcha tea, stirring the ingredients with a whisk.
- Using a hand blender, foam the milk then pour the froth gently on to the Japanese green tea.
- Add sugar (if you’re used to coffee with sugar) and decorate your green cappuccino with a sprinkle of matcha powder.
Iced matcha latte
In summer, if you prefer beverages that cool you down, you can make the iced variant of the matcha latte cappuccino. All you have to do is follow the same steps as for the classic version, but choose cold tea and milk and blend everything with some ice cubes.
